Link using an SMS:
– The Income Tax Department has given taxpayers the option to link Aadhaar-PAN using SMS. This is the easiest way.
– For this, first type UIDPN in the phone. Enter the base number followed by the PAN number followed by the space.
– For example by typing UIDPAN <space> <12-digit Aadhaar> <space> <10-digit PAN> you send to 567678 or 56161.
– The Income Tax department will then put both of your numbers in the link process.

– First of all if you do not have an account then register yourself first.
– Go to the Income Tax Department’s e-Filing website (www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in).
– The ‘Link Support’ option will appear on the website. Click there.
– Go to your account’s profile settings after logging in.
– You will see the Aadhaar card linking option in profile settings. Select it.
– Fill in your base number and captcha code in the section here.
– After filling in the information, click on the link below. Then your support will be linked.
The PAN may be invalid
– If the PAN card is not linked to Aadhaar it will be considered invalid under Section 139AA of Income Tax Act. This can result in your tax withholding tax refund.
