India goes to celebrate its 72nd Republic Day on January 26. Extensive preparations are done by the govt to make sure a secure and successful event. Security arrangements are beefed up across the capital for the occasion. Republic Day, this year would be a touch different than usual thanks to the continued Covid-19 pandemic, which has forced authorities round the world to require special measures for conducting any event. Mass gatherings are to be avoided at any cost and social distancing norms need to be followed on all such occasions.
This year, the Republic Day parade will feature a complete of 32 tableaux at Rajpath. Out of those , six are going to be from the defence arm of the govt , nine from other ministries and remaining 17 from various States and Union Territories. For the primary time, newly created UT of Ladakh also will participate within the event.
The spectator size has been reduced to 25,000 compared to 1.25 lakh last year. The gravity-defying motorcycle stunts which wont to be a serious spectacle per annum , are going to be missing this point around. The parade of gallantry awardees and bravado awards-earning children also will be missing. the amount of tickets allocated for the overall public has been limited to only 4500 this point . Moreover, there’ll be no chief guest on the occasion. the govt had invited UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson for the aim , but thanks to Covid-19 concerns, he had to abstain from participating.
At least 100 meritorious students from various schools and colleges are invited to observe the parade from the Prime Minister’s box. they’re going to also get an opportunity to interact with Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal following the event.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police are going to be on high aware of affect any untoward event. it’s said that only those people producing a call for participation card or a legitimate ticket are going to be permitted to observe the parade. Children aged below 15 won’t be permitted to attend.
When will the Republic Day parade start?
