The timetable of the exam was also announced yesterday. All examinations were to be conducted in two parts. Gujarat Board of Guardians has welcomed the decision of CBSE Board to cancel the standard 12 examination. At the same time, the Gujarat government demanded the cancellation of the standard 12 examination.

Demand of the Board for cancellation of examination

Naresh Shah, president of the All Gujarat Board of Trustees, called a meeting under the chairmanship of the CM and demanded that the state government take a decision on the standard 12 Gujarat board examination immediately. The decision to cancel the CBSE board standard 12 examination was welcomed by Bhaskar Patel, president of the Gujarat State School Administrators’ Federation. When the schedule of the examination was announced by the Gujarat Board, on the other hand, in the meeting chaired by the PM, it was decided to cancel the CBSE Board Std. 12 examination. The state government was also requested to consider the option given earlier by the corporation. The guardians became concerned and expressed hope that the state government would take the right decision amid fears of a third wave of corona.

The government was also considering vaccinating students

The Gujarat government was considering giving vaccines to all students above the age of 18 appearing for the board examinations of Std-12 and information was also received that a vaccination campaign would be launched for this purpose. Under the vaccination campaign, 6 lakh students out of 10 lakh students who will repeat in Std-12 and Std-10 examinations will be covered.

Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that the district-wise data analysis of all students in the age group of 18 years and above has been done in the state. These students will be vaccinated based on the amount of vaccine available. The State Government will request the Central Government to assist in carrying out this vaccination campaign.
