Who can benefit from Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana?

  • Every savings account holder who is between 18 years to 70 years of age can join this Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
  • Annual premium Rs 12/- (Twelve rupees) Premium is reimbursed through Auto Debit facility.
  • This Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana has to be filled only once. 

Benefit Of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY)

  • In case of accidental death, the heir will get a compensation of Rupees 2 lakh (Rupees two lakhs).
  • In case of permanent damage to any of the important parts of the body, 50% of the amount i.e. Rs 1 lakh (Rupees One Lakh) will be compensated. That is, in cases where one arm or one leg or one eye is permanently lost due to accident, a compensation of one lakh rupees will be given.
