Sri Lanka offer for IPL
Sri Lanka has offered to host the IPL where India has been postponed indefinitely.
Most sports events around the world have been halted due to the Corona virus. This includes IPL. And every day, sportsmen’s views on the issue shine through in the news. Currently the Sri Lankan Cricket Board has written a letter to the Indian Cricket Board in which they have expressed their desire to host the IPL there.
Sri Lankan Cricket Board President Shami Silva said, “Due to IPL cancellation, BCI is likely to suffer an estimated loss of Rs 2 crore ($ 5 million).” If the IPL can be reduced in other countries, then it can also be considered.
