WhatsApp has updated a special feature, so that now every user can know fake or fake news. With this, users are now connected to fact checks from more than 70 countries.
WhtsApp, a company owned by Facebook, has partnered with Pointer Institute’s International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN). IFCN has launched its own chatbot on WhatsApp.
How this feature works
The chatbot number is +1 (727) 2912606. First you have to save this number in your contact list. Type ‘hi’ to start a chatbot. The IFCN chatbot has so far only been available in English.
However the company may soon update this to other languages including Hindi, Spanish and Portuguese.
With the help of chatbot, users can check the facts, as well as get information about the news associated with the Corona virus. The system identifies users based on the country code.
