There is good news for Navratri players.Sheri Garba will be held when a big Garba may be sanctioned after October 15.Nitin Patel’s big statement in this regard has come to the fore.
In Unlock 5 100 people have been given concessions for religious occasions and the idea of holding Garba with the permission of 200 people has been mooted, said Nitin Patel. According to the government’s new guidelines, Garba is likely to be held with 200 people.
State and Union Territories will be able to decide on the presence of more than 100 persons in social, educational, entertainment, cultural, religious, political gatherings and meetings outside the containment zone in the government’s Unlock 5 guideline. The decision will remain in force till October 15.
On September 30, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said the state was not likely to get approval for a major Garba project at present. The government has not yet made a decision on how to allow Sherigarba at the village level or in cities. The decision will be taken in the coming days based on the new guidelines of the central government and the concessions given in them.
Earlier, all the major Garba organizers in the state had refused to play Garba. On September 26, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that the Vibrant Navratri Festival at the GMDC Ground has been canceled due to Corona.
