The Indian Army has launched an app like WhatsApp to protect the data of the soldiers and to keep the sensitive information of the Army confidential. This indigenous app called SAI features text messaging, voice and video calling.
The Indian Army has launched an indigenous app like WhatsApp. This app is more secure. Army Go will now use the same messaging app. The app was launched under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, the defense department said.
The full name of this app is Secure Application for the Internet. In short this app will be known as SAI. This app created by Army has the features of commercial apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, Dialog, Gym etc.
The Army will also have an in-house server, so the risk of data leaks will be reduced many times over. The data of the internal conversations of the soldiers will not go to any other app so the information of the Army will be more secure.
The app was verified by India’s cyber security agency CERN-E. It was also verified by auditors from the Army’s Cyber Security Panel. The app was then recognized, the Department of Defense said in an official statement.
