The bad news came for paytm users

You will be using Paytm Wallet to buy goods from grocery stores, pay water and electricity bills, book gas cylinders, recharge mobiles and DTH and place online orders. If you are also using Paytm for general transactions then there is bad news for you. Using Paytm is now becoming more expensive from October 15.

So far, however, there has been no extra charge for loading money from a credit card into a Paytm wallet.

But now companies have changed the rules. As per the information given, from October 15, 2020, if a person adds money to his Paytm wallet with a credit card, he will have to pay an additional charge of 2%. This 2 per cent charge includes GST. For example, if you add Rs 100 to a Paytm wallet with a credit card, you will have to pay Rs 102 from your credit card.

There is no charge for making a payment on a merchant site

However, there is no additional charge for making a payment through Paytm at any merchant site. There is no charge for transfer from Paytm to Payment Wallet. There will also be no charge for adding money to a Paytm wallet by debit card or netbanking.

The rules will change from January 1

Prior to this, all the rules have been changed from January 1, 2020. Until now, if a user adds up to Rs 10,000 a month with a credit card, he would not have to pay any extra charge. However, now he will have to pay 2 per cent charge for adding more money above Rs 10,000. From October 15, you will be charged 2% if you load any amount from your credit card into your Paytm wallet.
