Prime Minister Ujjwala scheme new update 2020

What is this plan
Depending on the plan, when you take the LPG connection, the total amount with the gas stove is Rs. 3200. wherein Rs. 1600 rupees is given as subsidy by the government. The remaining Rs 1,600 is provided by the oil company. But customers have to pay the balance of Rs 1600 to the companies as EMI.

The EMI structure is such that customers do not have to pay separately. When you refill LPG, the amount deposited as DBT in your account is paid directly to the companies account. This amount is given till it reaches Rs 1600. Once you make this payment, you start receiving subsidies again.

No EMI on first 6 cylinder of 14 kg
Due to this the affected consumers were facing financial hardship, due to which the Petroleum Ministry ordered the oil companies to start the EMI Deferral Scheme. This will not require customers to pay EMI on 6 cylinders in a 14 kg cylinder in a year. EMI has to be paid on the seventh cylinder.
